70 percent of victims have a migration background
New data on the Allowance scandal shows that 70 percent of the victims have a migration background. This is evident from an analysis by the CBS, looking at the background of 10,265 families found to be affected by the Allowance scandal. Caribbean Dutch and Surinamese Dutch people are relatively the hardest hit. The new data shows that Caribbean Dutch people, compared to Dutch-Dutch people, are 32 times more likely to be affected by the Allowance scandal than Dutch people.

Source: NosEthnically loaded risk profilesIt is known that the tax authorities worked with risk profiles when auditing income tax. According to the tax authorities, after several WOB requests, these profiles contain information about someone's second nationality. During the same checks, just like when checking surcharges and starting entrepreneurs, the tax authorities also selected on origin, religion and “foreign surnames”. The risk profiles include selection criteria such as: “immigrant (non-Western compatriots)”, “of foreign origin”, “entrepreneurs of immigrant origin” and “taxpayers whose last name ends in... IC”. When assessing “fraud risks” in donations, the tax authorities selected donations to Islamic organizations and mosques. https://controlealtdelete.nl/articles/etnisch-en-religieus-geladen-risicoprofielen-bij-belastingdienstWie after these selection decisions were checked, could end up in the FSV secret fraud system, which has now been taken offline. This included at least 180,000 Dutch people. If you were on the list, you were automatically flagged and treated as a possible fraudster, even when requesting surcharges. Those on this list were not aware of this and could not oppose it. The CBS analysis clearly shows the consequences of this method. Compared to Dutch-Dutch people, Caribbean Dutch people were duped by the government 32 times more often than Dutch-Dutch people. This is 22 times more often for Surinamese Dutch people, 8 times more often for Turkish Dutch people, 6 times more often for Moroccan Dutch people and 2 times more often for Indonesian-Dutch people.Comment Control Alt DeleteAbdoelhafiezkhan from Control Alt Delete responds: “It is shocking that Dutch people with a migration background were more often duped by the government compared to Dutch-Dutch people. This overrepresentation is the result of the use of ethnically charged risk profiles. It's a textbook example of institutional racism.” In addition, Abdoelhafiezkhan is dismayed at what she calls the extreme overrepresentation of Caribbean and Surinamese Dutch people: “Surinamese and Caribbean Dutch people do not have dual nationality. In fact, people from the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, St Eustasius and Saba) all have Dutch passports. So how can they be duped so often? We suspect that people or their parents' birthplaces were selected using manual searches, as has often happened in the past. Unfortunately, the bottom stone is still not at the top.” Finally, Controle Alt Delete is curious about the CBS analysis. Abdoelhafiezkhan: “We wonder to what extent the Dutch-Dutch victims might also have a link with people with a migration background. How many of these victims have a former partner with a migration background, or did their child have a childcare agency or BSO where someone with a migration background owned?”Dossier: tax authoritieshttps://controlealtdelete.nl/about us
