Declaration of Human Rights
UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
Preamble
Considering that recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human community is the basis for freedom, justice and peace in the world;
Considering that abandonment and disregard for human rights have led to barbaric acts that have violated the conscience of mankind and that the advent of a world where people will enjoy freedom of speech and faith, and will be free from fear and want, has been proclaimed as the highest ideal of every human being; Whereas it is of the utmost importance that human rights be protected by the supreme legislation, so that people are not forced to be of last resort resorting to rebellion against tyranny and oppression;
Considering that it is of the utmost importance to promote the development of friendly relations between nations; Whereas, in the Charter, the peoples of the United Nations have reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of human beings, and in the equal rights of men and women, and decided to promote social progress and higher living standards in greater freedom;
Considering that States members of the United Nations have solemnly committed themselves, in cooperation with the United Nations Organization, to promote respect for and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms everywhere;
Whereas it is of the utmost importance for the full fulfillment of this commitment that everyone understands these rights and freedoms;
On this basis, the General Assembly proclaims this Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the common one by all
ideal to achieve peoples and all nations, so that every individual and every organ of the community, with this Declaration constantly in mind, will strive to promote respect for these rights and freedoms through education and education, and through progressive measures, on national and

Article 1
All people are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience, and should behave towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
Article 2
Everyone has the right to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Statement without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, gender, language, religion, political or other beliefs, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status.
Furthermore, no distinction will be made according to the political, legal, or international status of the country or territory to which someone belongs, whether it is an independent, trust, or non-self-governing territory, or whether there is any other limitation of sovereignty.
Article 3
Everyone has the right to life, freedom and the inviolability of their person.
Article 4
No one will be kept in slavery or servitude. Slavery and slave trade in any form are prohibited.
Article 5
No one will be subject to torture, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
Article 6
Everyone, wherever they are, has the right to be recognized as a person before the law.
Article 7
All are equal before the law and are entitled to equal protection under the law without discrimination. All are entitled to equal protection against any prejudice in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such prejudice.
Article 8
Everyone has the right to effective legal assistance from competent national courts against acts that are contrary to the fundamental rights granted to him by Constitution or law.
Article 9
No one will be subject to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile.
Article 10
Everyone has the right, in full equality, to have their case heard fairly and publicly by an independent and impartial court in determining their rights and obligations and in determining the merits of criminal proceedings against them.
Article 11
- Anyone prosecuted for a criminal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty under the law in a public hearing, with all the guarantees necessary for his defense.
- No one shall be held guilty of any criminal offence based on any act or omission that did not constitute a criminal offence under national or international law
at the time when the act or omission was committed. Nor will a heavier penalty be imposed than that which was applicable at the time the offence was committed.
Article 12
No one shall be subject to arbitrary interference in their personal affairs, family, home or correspondence, or to any damage to their honor or reputation. Everyone has the right to be protected by law against such interference or interference.
Article 13
1. Everyone has the right to move and reside freely within the borders of each State.
2. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
Article 14
- Everyone has the right to seek asylum in other countries and enjoy asylum from persecution.
- This right cannot be invoked in the case of criminal proceedings for non-political crimes or acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
Article 15
- Everyone has the right to a nationality.
- No one should be arbitrarily deprived of their nationality or denied the right to change their nationality.
Article 16
- Without any restrictions based on race, nationality, or religion, men and women of marriageable age have the right to marry and have families. They have equal rights when it comes to marriage, during marriage and upon its dissolution.
- A marriage can only be concluded with the free and full consent of the prospective spouses.
- The family is, of course, the fundamental group unit of society and has the right to protection by society and the State.
Article 17
- Everyone has the right to own property, either alone or jointly with others.
- No one should be robbed of their property arbitrarily.
Article 18
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right also includes freedom to change their religion or belief, and freedom to profess their religion or belief, either alone or with others, publicly or privately, by teaching, practicing, worshiping, and observing the commandments and regulations.
Article 19
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression. This right includes the freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and transmit information and ideas by any means and regardless of frontiers.
Article 20
- Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful association and assembly.
- No one should be forced to belong to an association.
Article 21
- Everyone has the right to participate in the administration of their country, directly or through freely elected representatives.
- Everyone has the right to be admitted to the government services of their country on an equal basis.
- The will of the people will be the basis of the government's authority; this will will be expressed in periodic and fair elections held under universal and equal suffrage and by secret ballot or by a procedure that also ensures freedom of the vote.
Article 22
As a member of the community, everyone has the right to social security and is entitled to the realization, through national effort and international cooperation, and in accordance with the organization and resources of the State concerned, the economic, social and cultural rights that are indispensable to their dignity and the free development of their personality.
Article 23
1. Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to fair and favourable working conditions and to protection against unemployment.
2. Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
3. Everyone who works has the right to a fair and favourable remuneration, which ensures a decent life for him and his family, which shall be supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
4. Everyone has the right to establish and join trade associations in order to protect their interests.
Article 24
Everyone has the right to rest and to their own free time, including a reasonable limitation of working time, and to periodic paid vacations.
Article 25
1. Everyone has the right to a standard of living that is high enough for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and the necessary social services, as well as the right to provision in the event of unemployment, illness, disability, death of the spouse,
old age or any other lack of livelihoods caused by circumstances independent of his will.
2. Mother and child are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether legal or not, will enjoy the same social protection.
Article 26
1. Everyone has the right to education; education will be free of charge, at least as far as primary and primary education is concerned. Primary education will be mandatory. Craft education and vocational training will be made widely available. Higher education will be open to everyone who has the talent to do so.
2. Education will focus on the full development of the human personality and at strengthening respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It will promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship among all nations, races, or religious groups, and it will support the United Nations work to maintain peace.
3. Parents are primarily entitled to choose the type of education and education to be given to their children.
Article 27
1. Everyone has the right to participate freely in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy art and to participate in scientific progress and its fruits.
2. Everyone has the right to the protection of the spiritual and material interests arising from a scientific, literary or artistic work that he has produced.
Article 28
Everyone has the right to the existence of such a social and international order that the rights and freedoms set out in this Declaration can be fully realized therein.
Article 29
1. Everyone has obligations towards the community, without which the free and full development of their personality is not possible.
2. In the exercise of their rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such restrictions as are established by law, solely to ensure the indispensable recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and to meet the legitimate requirements of morality, public order and the common good in a democratic community.
3. Under no circumstances should these rights and freedoms be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
Article 30
Nothing in this Statement shall be construed as giving any State, group or person any right to do anything or act of any kind that seeks to destroy any of the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration.
