One year ago, Meindert Fennema passed away.. Tin memory, we are organizing the Meindert Fennema lecture. The first edition is presented by Ellen Pasman, who, as a lawyer, has been pointing out recurring failures to the government for over thirty years. Among other things, she assists affected parents in the benefits scandal and whistleblowers.Why is the government failing to protect the vulnerable? And what can we expect from the new coalition in terms of maintaining and restoring the rule of law?About Ellen PasmanEllen Pasman has been working in the legal profession since 1987. Pasman specializes in administrative law, employment law, media law and tort law. In the past, she assisted Willem Oltmans in his trial against the Dutch state. That's what she wrote the book about. He taught at the UvA for 42 years, where he is remembered as an inspiring lecturer who knew how to challenge students.
