Nora Achahbar will manage the allowance file for NSC

Nora Achahbar (NSC) grew up in a disadvantaged neighborhood, where she saw a lot of poverty and abuse. “Without people being able to do anything about it, they got further and further into trouble,” she says in an interview with the Public Prosecutor's Office, the former employer.

Let that be just the story of the target group that Achahbar will focus on as Secretary of State for Supplements. For NSC, it is an important topic, not least because party leader Omtzigt got the ball rolling in the benefits affair.

Judicial power

Achahbar (1983) was a candidate for the New Social Contract in the House of Representatives elections. She was in 26th place and therefore did not enter the House. In recent years, she has worked as a deputy judge, lawyer and prosecutor in The Hague.

In the latter position, she deals, among other things, with fraud, terrorism and high impact crimes. “But also with large-scale events, such as New Year's bonfires on the beach in The Hague.”
