The Equal Recovery Foundation (SGH), which helps victims of the benefits scandal, and was previously led by Princess Laurentien, is sounding the alarm about the Ministry of Finance's continued distrust of the foundation. This is confirmed by SGH after reports from De Telegraaf. “If it gets personal and our people don't feel safe, they can't do their job”. After a difficult collaboration between the foundation and the ministry, a committee recommended in January that SGH's way of helping benefit recovery victims is the most important route in the recovery process. Secretary of State Sandra Palmen (Finance) followed the advice. Nevertheless, last month, the foundation received a note from the ministry's house attorney that SGH has been under investigation for some time. “The ministry's distrust runs very deep. This is not how we can solve the biggest scandal in political history,” said the spokesperson.
